Great story about the tower and okbydick! If someone would total
up all of your stories, they probably would discover that you are
lucky to be alive. I imagine your dad knew more than you thought
he knew.

Cheers,

Attention: Granny's restaurant, tomorrow, Friday, 11:30 (or there
about) for CLASS OF '54! I have to admit that last month, I
forgot!! It's come to the point that I have to write notes to
myself and put them where I will see them. I keep telling my
family that my brain is just so full of knowledge and wisdom that
it has a hard time adding new memory. Don't think I convince
them. The notes seem to be working. That is if I put them were I
will see them. Hope to see YOU at Granny's.

-Marguerite GROFF Tompkins ('54) ~ It's a beautiful day in
Richland today. No rain or wind, and mo snow. Already
      looking forward to spring.

Re: The "A" house on Williams and McPherson

That was 1301 and 1303 Williams - and it had a full basement -
that is it was not half dirt. My family lived there from just
shortly after I started Kindergarten at Spalding though my 7th
grade year at Carmichael - then we moved north and I finished Jr.
Hi at Chief Joe.

I would tell you more about my climb up that tower, but if you're
not too bright to do it as a teenager - I was about 7 and Mrs.
Brunstead caught me - a very painful experience by golly.

Re: Babes babes babes

I think enough time has passed since I got really confused last
Friday as I left work. All day it had been the 8th... the minute
I left it became the 9th... no I didn't cross any date lines...
just got confused... even read the wrong pages in my meditation
books on Saturday and Sunday and then shot in Earl Bennett's
('63) b-day wish a day early... even his sis Cecilia ('65) barely
caught it... so yesterday I left trial a bit aggravated and had
to go to Oath Keepers right after to do my part in the Program...
there had been some misrepresentations by the other side
regarding some rules and such which I knew were just flat wrong
but did not have the authority there with me to read to the
court... Judge let the other guy intimidate him and just
vacillated back and forth... so was able to cool off pretty
well and this morning gather the stuff I needed to show I was
correct... I really don't like slime in the court room... So now
I'm mo betta, tho I am kinda feeling bad that I'm never in any of
the pictures that get sent it... my fambley musta been invisible
back in the day... poor me poor me... my picture was on the front
page one time for the fire prevention parade... I think the rest
of the time the boyz and I made the "arrests" section... so gab
gab gab... I gotta wish a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of my
bestest Bomber-babe buds in the world on January 15, 2010...
Ronna Jo Lynch ('65)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love you, RJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Water Tower

The tower... what memories. I asked my 90 year old Mom the other
day if she remembered the tower that was on the corner by us and
she didn't. Probably because she didn't climb it like I did. We
lived in Townsend Ct. right by the corner of Thayer and Torbett,
diagonally across the street from the Kellers. Sandy KELLER ('65)
and I were friends. What fun memories. When we moved into town
from West Richland when I was in sixth grade, I finished my year
out at Spalding. I used the tower as my landmark to find my way
home.

Re: Harlan FOOTE ('61) CaringBridge.Org

First, thanks to all who have directed me to the CaringBridge.Org
site. It will allow me (during this VERY busy, energy-consuming
time) to keep all family, friends, and fellow Bombers who want to
know (including his long time work friends/associates --he's been
at Battelle since 1966) up to date at the same time.

Thanks, by the way, to those of you who have written to me
directly with words of support for Harlan and those of us who
love him.

I just started the site last night, so please check back again at
the end of tomorrow when the info will be the most current.

Please do leave a note -- I'm not requiring log-in, so we
(Harlan) won't know you've visited unless you sign the guest
book.

Thanks -
