ANNOUNCEMENT - Bomber Lunch Social - Portland/Vancouver Area
To: Oregon & Washington Bombers and any other Bombers who may be
in the area.
We had a great time in December at our Bomber Christmas at
Beaches Restaurant in Vancouver, WA. The crew at Beaches took
very good care of us. We have reservations at Beaches for five
dates in 2010. The winter/spring dates are February 20th,
April 17th, and June 19th.
Please join us for our next lunch gathering
DATE: Saturday, February 20
TIME: 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM
WHERE: Beaches Restaurant – on the Columbia River
1919 S.E. Columbia River Drive - Vancouver, WA 98661
Located just one mile east of I-5 on Highway 14.
Take Exit #1 – Drive straight to the river and into the
parking lot. It’s very easy to find.
ALL Bombers and their friends and family members are Welcome.
We will be in the Sun Room, which is set up well for socializing.
Please bring photos & yearbooks to show, and some stories to
tell. We would love to see some photos and hear stories of your
travels and special achievements. Bombers are special, and we
want to hear about your adventures. Do you have a DVD of your
trip to China (or wherever)? Bring it along and we can all watch
it on the big TV in the Sun Room.
Your lunch is your choice off of the regular menu, and their food
is great.
Please RSVP to me.

Re: Water Tower
I was sure someone would write in about the other water tower
on the southside of town. I don't really remember the EXACT
location, but wasn't it really close to Lewis & Clark? I can
picture it in my mind.

we're to get rain tomorrow again.

I enjoyed the youtube video of [Capt. "Sully's"] landing in the
Hudson River. When I saw your Sandstorm headline [yesterday]
"1 year ago" I was racking my brain trying to remember what
event it was and my memory is usually pretty good but came up
blank on this one.
Thanks for sharing and yes it truly was a miracle.

Once would be ENOUGH for me! But I'm sure your not the only one
who climbed it. I would imagine Patrol made a number of passes
in the day.
To: Dick McCOY (The Tin Can Class of '45)
Yea "nuts" covers it. One time on swing shift I started climbing
REDOX's exhaust stack. About a third of the way up the next rung
I grabbed came loose! I came back down!
To: Maryanne GRENINGER Merritt ('67wb)
Was your father in Separations???
To: Loretta JENSEN Kusak ('65)
Did your mom live in the Construction Camp during the war??
Lastly was your fathers name June???
