Re: Alternative Treatments

I remember when we were in a microbiology class at the UofW
over 30 years go. I am grateful to learn of your studies in
alternative cancer treatments as well as your work in
chemotherapy.

Last year, I lost a very dear friend who died four months after
surgery, which found her in stage 4 of lung cancer. I watched
a young, gifted teacher and musician take her last breath, it
was like losing a daughter. She had searched for alternative
treatments and tried many, but none helped. I'm glad I now have
something to offer in the future. Once again, thanks for the
info.

Sadly, I haven't ever run across any and our old photos aren't
organized... I looked a few years ago and couldn't even find my
autograph book with Ronald Reagan's signature in it.

Re: R2K + 10

I have 4 rooms reserved for the all school reunion in June. I
know, I just wanted to have some options. I will cancel 3 of
them, unless someone wants one. There is 1 at the Shilo Inn with
a kitchen for $155.95, 1 at the Days Inn for $67.00 and 1 at the
Clarion Inn for $83.99. I just couldn't bring myself to call the
Bali Hi. So, if anyone wants one of these reservations before I
cancel, send me an email.

Re: 1964 Keewaydin & 1964 Sinewesah Yearbooks

While perusing thru the 1964 Keewaydin (Kennewick High School
yearbook) & the 1964 Sinewesah (Pasco High School yearbook) I
came across a few people I knew that "would of", "could of", or
"should of" been 1964 Richland Bombers. I'll make the assumption
that their parents moved to the "other" cities after they first
attended schools in Richland? I'm listing where I first met them (;-)

1964 Sinewesah - Bob Thomas (Col-Hi)
1964 Keewaydin - Bob Beaver (Chief Joe)
1964 Keewaydin - Jerry Clausen (Sacajawea)
1964 Keewaydin - Gary Lee Kohl (Sacajawea)
1964 Keewaydin - Duane Neitzel (Sacajawea)
1964 Keewaydin - Danny Snook (Sacajawea)

Anyone know of any others? Please let me know.

To: Bill CHAPMAN ('53)

You hit on a subject I have been talking to people about for a
number of years. When my wife, Maxine (RIP), first discovered she
had breast cancer and we had the biopsy done the doctors told us
she has such a difficult form of breast cancer that even with
surgery to remove the lump, full blown chemo and radiation she
would not live even one year. With that kind of a diagnosis she
and I embarked on a search and discovery plan. We looked for and
found natural remedies from around the world. my shed is full
of books, reports, studies etc. on natural remedies. The three
you mention are ones we found out about and used. Each is said
to have its own particular way of fighting cancer. The most
intriguing is the Essiac. THe biggest draw back to Essiac is that
no one knows if today's Essiac is the same formula used a century
ago by the woman who got said formula from the Indians. There are
many other very helpful ways to fight cancer that are all natural
and do not have the side effects of the poison, cut or burn that
is done by standard medicine today.

Now back to Maxine. We did allow the lumpectomy to be done even
though the doctor blotched that, (I think on purpose because he
did not like what we were planning to do, we found many doctors
hated us for going natural.) She went all natural at that time
and we fought the cancer with everything we had. Instead of being
sick and feeling bad due to chemo and radiation and then dieing
she had a great three years never even looking like she was sick.
The picture on the inside cover of my book was taken about 7
months before she died and she does not look like she had any
health problems. She did go rather fast those last five or six
months however even she said the three years were far better then
less then one year and being sick all the time.

One of our consultants was an 82 year old former head of Oncology
at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. He had managed Oncology at
Swedish for about 15 years when he started telling people that
chemo was not the way to go and to go natural. The hospital fired
him and his medical license was revoked. He worked as consultant
in Bellevue, WA for many years. He told us that in his forty
years in oncology every doctor he ever saw got a cash kick back
from the drug companies for every person they got to sign up
for chemo. He said they would all deny it but they all got it
including him. He was truly ashamed of himself for it. When he
died Maxine and I went to his memorial. The place was packed!
There were thousands of people he had helped go natural over the
years at the memorial to pay their respect and speak about him.
I've never seen anything like it.

The attached picture is the same one in my book. You would never
know she had been fighting breast cancer for three years. I
attribute that to the all natural battle we fought.
