Poor "Tooter", aka the Junior Gyrene, and his obsession with older
women (aka "cougars"). Almost makes one want to burst out with
(fill in the emotion of your choice). Guess that's what comes of
living on the wrong side of Williams.

Totally beside the point. Today we celebrate the birthday of one
of the two "perfessors" of the stomach Steinway that The Class of
'54 was blessed. To hear their dueling "Lady of Spain" would make
Myron Florin jealous. On top of all that, he's a really nice guy
and is far too young to be having another birthday. A tip of the
ol' propeller beanie is in order for Larry "Sonny" MURPHY ('54),
along with a rousing "Happy Birthday!" cheer. Nice seeing you at
the 60 year and looking forward to our next gathering.

weather guessers are predicting rain late Sunday night or
Monday (fer shure). At least it may be dry for the Portland
      luncheon.

Today [10/9] is also Carol RICE Forister's ('62) 70th birthday so
I called her. She is having a very tough time with her multiple
myeloma cancer. I know she would appreciate any prayers in her
behalf, as they reassess their strategy for her treatment this
next week. Anyone wanting to send her personal cards or emails,
please email me for her addresses.

Carol and I go way back to Olympia and Elm Streets, and being
original ranch house kids. We don't get together often enough,
but we always find something to laugh about back then and today.
I wish Kansas City were closer, as I haven't been able to see her
since we went to Pella, Iowa this past May.

Our historic church is celebrating 160 years at this spot on
October 26th, and we've just finished a big job of repainting the
outside down by members with an electric lift. To see pictures of
the above you can go to Facebook, Hope United Methodist Church.
now to get in inside all ready too...

Bomber cheers,
-Helen CROSS Kirk ('62) ~ Hope, IN where fall leaves and often
rain are falling like crazy. But it's alright, I'm scheduled
for a church hay ride at the end of the month.

Re: Paul Revere (RIP)

Thanks for your entry Rick MADDY ('67) about Paul Revere passing.
In, I think, '66 or '67 when "Kicks" came out it was more or less
our anthem for the school year.

Many years later when I was a sales rep in the swimming pool
business, one of my good pool builders in Boise built a pool for
Paul and invited me to do a site visit at Paul's home. I had a
heavy schedule of calls to make and couldn't go! Bummer. One of
those things a person regrets forever.
