Re: New nick-name

Only discussion I have received re the Junior Gyrene's new nick-
name is (from a reliable (?) source) actually "Tooter". Not much
difference that I can see.

Sorry to have missed yesterday's Portland/Vancouver lunch.

Thanks Maren... it is indeed "TOOTER"

Bob, don't pick on the junior gyrene... he has enough trouble
trying to be 'normal'. This is from a 'SENIOR gyrene' (me)

Diane ZELLEY ('63), one of my two favorite '63 girls, celebrates a
birthday today. In her honor I watched Jerry Lewis in "Ladies'
Man" on one of the retro channels. This is the only movie I
remember taking Diane to. I remember it because it was the worst
movie I'd ever seen, and the first – and only – time I ever
apologized for taking a girl to a movie: "I'm sorry, Diane. If I'd
known the movie was about Jerry Lewis and a bunch of pretty girls,
I'd rather have just looked at you all evening."

I don't know if Diane ever noticed that I always walked behind her
when we were going between the old building and MacIntosh Hall (if
I remember the name correctly). Diane didn't walk, she bounced up
and down the steps; she looked so cute with her pony tail
swishing.

I always made it a point to walk my girlfriend home from school at
least once, and with Diane that was a real trek. She lived near
Van Giesen on the north side of town, I lived near Duportail on
the south side. It was a half-hour from school to her home, and an
hour back to my home. In the middle of winter, too. She was worth
it.

Happy birthday, Diane. I checked your junior picture in the '62
Columbian, and you don't look a day older. Thank you for the
memories.

-David DOUGLAS ('62) ~ ~ Mesa, AA after 3 days of rain the pool
temperature was down to 85°, but I swam anyway; it was
warmer than the Lagoon off the Columbia River

Re: More Paul Revere (RIP)
   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BPAjWOOEYw

Enjoyed watching the Paul Revere video.

Thanks to Dennis HAMMER ('64). I forwarded the link to some of my
Pacific Cascade Mustang Club (PCMC) members (Kent) and a member
pointed out that there was a club grill badge on the Mustang front
end for his keyboard. The PCMC does claim to be the oldest
continuous Mustang club in America founded in 1965, but it makes
me wonder how Paul append to get the badge. They have only been
produced a couple of times, that I know of.

Chalk it up to small world.

Re: Paul Revere (RIP)

I first saw The Raiders at the Roller Rink in Richland in '66 or
'67! Mark Lindsey was with him along with the Original Raiders.
They were Fantastic! I came close to getting Paul's feather hat!!
Just like so many of the other girls did!!

I saw The Raiders again in 2012 when they came to Yakima! Back in
'66 or '67 I don't remember any car front on Paul's key board. But
in Yakima he had the Mustang front!! The one thing I learned was
that Paul was a Very Funny Man!!! His music was still Great! The
Raiders we're all different but just as Great as the originals
were!! Paul Revere will be Missed.

I HAVE his RECORDS, not CDs that I still play often!

God Bless You Paul Revere.

Bombers Rule,
Pam EHINGER Edinger (Blue Ribbon Class of '67)

Re: Michael G FURNER ('68-RIP)

I recall Mike attending his first Bomber luncheon at JD Diner in
July and invited him back. He told me he remembered my name, he
was in the class of '68. I saw the notice that he passed a few
weeks ago but as of yesterday (Friday) his obit. hasn't appeared
in the T-C Herald. I got thinking, too, that makes 4 that I know
of from that class who have passed since Dec. 2013. On another
note, I saw both cancer doctors yesterday and all is good. My
oncologist is transferring my care to his nurse practitioner who
I'll see in February... that will fall a few days shy of my
2-year surgery date. I'm so blessed and thankful for my good
health right now.
