Re: Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

In Vegas, we have a guy who can find out about anything ya wanna
know. We've been good friends for many years. Several years
back they made a TV series based upon his life... it was called
"Vegas"... the hero was called Dan Tanna... the series was a
little far fetched, but Eddie LaRue, the real life Dan Tanna
was and is the real thing... one time my daughter was being
stalked... I called Eddie and he staked out her work place till
he caught the little creep... end of problem... he wouldn't take
a dime... he said "friends don't charge friends"... well, if ya
wanna know what's going on in Richland, today's Bomber-babe is
the one to contact... she's always got the skinny... HAPPY
BIRTHDAY, Shirley COLLINGS ('66) on your special day, October 14,
2014!!!!!!!!

Re: US Army Staff Sergeant

To: Pam EHINGER Edinger (Blue Ribbon Class of '67)

Congratulations to your son.

In fact, there is an Army rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). It is the
equivalent of the USAF Technical Sergeant. (E-6). Sergeant First
Class (US Army E-7) is the same as the USAF Master Sergeant (E-7)

To: Derrith PERSONS Dean ('60)

My best wishes, prayer, and thoughts to you, Linda REINING (64),
and all Bombers who are battling cancer.

I was diagnosed in November of 1998 with Chronic Myolegenous
Leukemia (CML).

I was diagnosed very late in the disease's "life cycle" that I
was told I had one chance: my sister, Vernita EDWARDS (65), had
to be a donerable match for a bone marrow transplant. If she were
to not be a match the doctors would refer me to Hospice and I
should get my affairs in order. We went through Christmas &
New Years while the tests were being done. Talk about a quiet
Christmas! January 2nd we learned she was a perfect match.
Probably the best late Christmas present ever.

Well, that was the start of what is now a 16 year long E TICKET
RIDE! I have had a BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant), two relapses,
brain surgery, hip replacement, met many, many wonderful people,
and sadly, seen many of those people die. I am in my 17th year
post diagnosis, still see my oncologist every 3 months, and I
take 28 pills every day. Is this a great life? Probably not but I
am alive & kicking.

Here is the one thing a survivor told me that helped me more than
anything one other thing. He said this:

"You have cancer. Deal with the fear, rage, and all the
other emotional things; then get ready for a battle.
YOU are the most important person on your medical team.
YOU have to lead the charge, YOU have to drink all the
water, take all the drugs, puke your guts out, take all
the walks. The doctors are there to point the way; YOU
have to do everything they tell you. This disease is
now your job. All you have to do everyday now is get
      better,"

I took him seriously & did at least what the Dr.s asked or
multiples of what they asked me to do.

This is not the measles or flu; this will change your life, you
will never be the same. If you use it right it can be one of the
best experiences (Looking back) of your life.

Face each day, each test, every needle or IV as an individual
challenge and you will get through it fine. Best of luck and the
future to you. CHARGE!
