Though he wasn't a full-fledged Bomber, he was a Bomber through and through. Gene Waldkoetter was the most loving, patient, caring Christian person in the world. He greatly enjoyed driving our daughter Gale ('72) and her friends to out-of-town Bomber ball games. Yes, there is a big void in my heart at the moment, however, he is free from his numerous medical issues. Re: Martha "Markey" LEAROCK Keinath ('51-RIP) Then yesterday I received a phone call from the son of a '51 Bomber, Martha "Markey" LEAROCK Keinath saying that she passed away on May 11th. Markey lived in Newark, Ohio. -Doreen HALLENBECK Waldkoetter ('51) ~ Green Valley, AZ *************************************************************** *************************************************************** >>From: Carol CARSON Renaud ('60) Steve CARSON ('58) Re: Puget Sound Bomber Luncheon Puget Sound area Bomber luncheon for anyone in the area: DATE: Saturday, May 30, 2015 TIME: 11:30am PLACE: Scott's Bar and Grill, 8115 Lake Ballinger Way, Edmonds http://www.scottsbarandgrill.com/ RSVP: if you plan to attend so we can reserve enough space. -Carol CARSON Renaud ('60) -Steve CARSON (Championship Class of '58) *************************************************************** *************************************************************** >>From: Duane LEE ('63) There is a new McDonald's going in right across the street from the Spudnut Shop on Williams. I honestly can't imagine going to school without Bomber-babes... Of course my view of the entire purpose of going to High School was to meet Bomber-babes and walk them from class to class... oh sure, there were other activities that took up some school time... like rolling pennies down the isle in study hall (that activity ended when they built the "new" school around the class of '65)... and wandering down to the handball court to catch a smoke or two... and I found the daily trip to Zip's at noon a pretty fun activity... and then flirting did take up a good bit of class time... but without bomber-babes I'm afraid only the rolling pennies and smoking would have survived as activities I actively enjoyed... and what about mixers and sock hops... what about Hi-Spot... dang without bomber-babes we'da been relegated to drinking, smoking, fighting neighboring towns and drags... what a dismal existance... As Tommy Steele would have said in his role as Og, in Finian's rainbow; "Doooooom and gloooom!" But thank goodness we did not have to suffer the slings and arrows of no Bomber-babes including today's HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Peggy STULL ('64) on your special day, May 13, 2015!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -David RIVERS ('65) *************************************************************** *************************************************************** That's it for today.
