Any Bomber is welcome to come and bring a guest, spouse, or unrelated Bomber, as usual. We hope to see a good crowd there, as usual. WHEN: Saturday, August 8, 2015 (always 2nd Saturday) TIME: We gather about noon or 12:30 WHERE: JD DINER, 3790 West Van Giesen, West Richland (Second building on the right after crossing the Yakima River Bridge.) -Margaret EHRIG Dunn ('61) *************************************************************** *************************************************************** >>From: Helen CROSS Kirk ('62) My last day in London I went in to hear a lovely Organ concert at Methodist Central Hall (right opposite Westminister Abbey). it also happened to be the day of the bicycle marathon when 27,000 bicyclists descended on London plus their supporters!! Fortunately it was a lovely warm day for all, and enjoyed by all. My last shot is of my host and I at Heathrow before my flight. We'd met as Methodist exchange students to Holland in 1962 and have kept in contact over the years. It was a lovely time, even if I didn't Get to meet the Queen!! Now back to reality in a surprisingly not humid Hope!! http://alumnisandstorm.com/Xtra/Cro/150806-00.htm -Helen CROSS Kirk ('62) ~ Hope, IN *************************************************************** *************************************************************** >>From: David RIVERS ('65) Re: guess I'll just never know I've often wondered what it would be like to grow up the only boy in a bevy of Bomber-babes... I mean just the shear number of babes walkin' thru the house friends of sisters is mind boggling... or as an old buddy of mine who became the Dean of the Law Schools at ASU and UNLV used to say "mind boggling and totally incomprehensible"... I guess John COLE ('66) would know... well this guy was in John's class and he would know as well... gasp... but as with all the greener grass I am sure they would tell me it wasn't all milk and honey... anyway, unless I come back in the next life in a famblie like that I guess I just hafta wonder... besides... since I don't remember any past lives how would I know to answer the question... I'd just think it was normal... been watching a show called "Proof" where a rich guy and a doctor are trying to find out what lies after what we see as death... didn't think I'd like it but I do... pretty interesting if they don't muck it up with too much mushy stuff like they always seem to do in the shows I like... just get on with the show... let us imagine the rest like we used to do inna old days when the Beach Boys hadda take out "sleep together" in "Wouldn't it be nice" and the sausage guy hadda take "a Helluvaman" outa "Big Bad John"... get on with it dang it! Well since I won't find out first hand I'll just say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mike SHEERAN ('66) on your special day, August 6, 2015!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -David RIVERS ('65) *************************************************************** *************************************************************** Bomber Memorial >>Mary HALSTEAD Bowell ~ Class of 1949 ~ 1931 - 2015 Bomber Memorials *************************************************************** *************************************************************** That's it for today.
