(pedestrians and commuter rail only) It is a "Cable Stayed Bridge" like the one between Kennewick and Pasco. http://www.americantrails.org/resources/structures/tilikum.html There will be a giant fireworks display all across the bridge. This supplier of the display is Pyro Spectaculars, a World Class company. Jackie and I have been invited to be on the crew and thus cannot reveal any details in advance. We will be all day Friday and Saturday doing the set up, loading, and wiring firing circuits. This WILL BE a wonderful event encompassing a myriad of effects all across the bridge and above it. It WILL be worth seeing. Bridge displays like this are rare event. Not sure what time they will fire the display but the crowd will be large so if you want a good spot... get there early. Re: Cat from hell A finale note about the "Cat From HELL in my house. He eluded or defeated 3 different trapping setups from Animal Control and still got ate the bait. Total damage to carpets and furniture and clean-up expense is about $3500. He wandered in and would not leave even though I did not feed or water him, and left the back door open so he could get out. After 11 days 3 of us spent 6 hours searching the house without finding him. But at about dawn I heard him bashing about and opened the back door and shot him twice in the butt with a BB gun and that got him to leave. Had that not worked I would have used a lead pellet and 15 pumps in the rifle and put him down. Enough, is enough, is enough. Definitely a feral cat, torn ears, slashed face, missing patches of fur and bent tail. Fast and mean. I almost had him a couple of times and he spit and hissed and clawed right through and ripped the thick leather welders glove I had on. -J. I happened across a you tube of Bill Alexander and it seemed familiar. One of our neighbors became quite proficient at the Ross style and produced many enjoyable paintings. I think that is the one of the goals of "Art", enjoying the trip and not so much the destination. One of my nephews listens to the Joy of Painting to get to sleep, and so another art lover. -Tom VERELLEN ('60) ~ from near Lacey, one day of rain and back to the ol oh hum weather with a touch of autumn in the mornings. *************************************************************** *************************************************************** That's it for today.
