Such a deal! An anniversary and a Bomber Birthday to celebrate.
And to think I knew them all to extent of graduating with two
of them. Hey, I even "thesped" with one of them way back when.
Ah, those were the days; walk 10 miles to school (up hill both
ways) through 6 feet of snow. It was tough back then. It was so
tough, stores wouldn't advertise Christmas until after
Thanksgiving. Talk about hard, I tell you.
But I digress. On this date long, long ago in a galaxy far, far
away (or was it California?) these two Bombers got hitched. Who
knew? Hadn't seen them until his class had its 50-year reunion.
And as for the Bomber birthday, him I rode to school in the
same bus until the family up-graded to Richland. I even worked
at the North Star Theater with his older sister.
A tip of the ol' propeller beanie and a "Happy Anniversary/
Birthday!" go out to Treasure ELDER ('54) and Gene BARFUS ('53)
on the occasion of their marriage; and to Bruce SCHOENROCK
('54) who is celebrating his natal day. Enjoy the day as best
you can under whatever circumstances.
