I certainly hope all is settled with Club 40 Dues forms.

Now for the real business. Today we celebrate the birthday of
a Bomber whom I knew back then. Hadn't seen him since until he
showed up at the 60-year reunion just in time for the group
picture. I think he may be in it.

So, a tip of the ol' propeller beanie and a "Happy Birthday!"
to Lanny Wilson ('54). And please, Lanny, put Ray WELLS ('54)
down gently.

weather guessers have back-pedaled from the 70 on
Easter Sunday; now supposed to be in the mid-sixties.
       Stay tuned.

Hal SMITH's ('56) wife Diana emailed me today (4/14] that Hal
died yesterday [4/13/17] in Orlando, FL after three weeks in
Hospice care. He cared a lot about his time as a Richland
Bomber and followed Sandstorm entries. He has missed his
brother Pook (63-RIP 2005) and can join him now.

To: All Moms out there in Bomberland

Remember those last few week of pregnancy? All I could think
about was "get this kid outta me!" The birth, as difficult
as it might be, was easier than the waiting, waiting, and
then... waiting. Well, that's what I am feeling for April, the
giraffe. So, "have the baby, will ya?" I keep checking, but
not baby. Meantime I've watched some live birth films; one
in a zoo & one in the wild. It's interesting. Giraffes are
pregnant for about 15 months - makes 9 months seem not so
long, eh?

{I know that a giraffe gives birth standing up,
so when I see her in the prone position I know
she won't give birth right now. I watched her
lie down a little while ago... it was painful to
watch. She must not have been too comfortable
cuz I just checked again and now she's up again.
Also, front hooves come out first... then the
head... and when her tail is sticking straight
out, I have to watch to see if it's gonna be
      hooves or poop. -Maren].

again today. It has been a wet winter & a wet spring here
