I think enough is enough. It's making my head spin.

I'm beginning to wonder if we haven't been taken over by Daleks.
You remember their motto: "Eliminate! Exterminate!" No matter
how nice you were to them; if you didn't look like them, you
could be toast.

To be honest, they were only characters in a somewhat "cheesy"
sci-fi drama. But I really fear their mentality has taken hold.

Most of you are too big to be sent to your rooms, with no
dessert I might add.

weather guessers are calling for rain during the Grand
Floral Parade. But it will be dry and warm afterward
until State Fair. Sure hope it is nice for the Silverton
Hills Grange Strawberry Fest on Father's Day.

Re: The Meaning of Words

A husband comes home from work to eat a dinner of roast beef
that his wife has spent a good part of the afternoon preparing
for the family. During the meal, the husband asks the wife where
she purchased the roast. The majority of wives will answer,
"Why, what's wrong with it?" Now, perhaps the husband should
have led with a compliment about the roast, but he had NOT said
there was anything wrong with it; he just wanted to know where
the wife bought the it. The offense taken by the wife was simply
imagined.

The point of that little story is that, in trying to communicate
effectively, it is usually much better to pay attention to the
words that ARE spoken or written and far less to some imagined
meaning.

Re: RHS Graduation 6/2/17

With all of the comments regarding the Richland mascot, I
thought you might enjoy seeing the graduation pictures posted
in the Tri-City Herald. Be sure to look at pages 16-18 which
all show pictures of our "bomb" as part of the commencement
celebration.
