Re: ahhhhhhhhhh da dayz a yute!

What a way to grow up... not that we all actually grew up but
we did advance in age... today's Bomber-babe lived at one of
those great gathering places... there were so many... places
where kids just congregated before and after the little
forays to the Uptown, Across the tracks, to the riding
academy, to one of the rivers, to the dike and just roaming
our little town on foot or by bicycle... often with cards in
the spokes for a little added horse-power... I would never
trade those times for indoor computer games or whatever it
is kids spend their time with today... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Paula
BEARDSLEY ('62) on your special day, July 27, 2017!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Soccer National Championship ~ 7/26/17 Tri-City Herald

"Goal! Local soccer club wins national championship.

They started the summer ranked No. 4 in Washington and
81st in the nation. After Monday, a group of budding
soccer stars from the Tri-Cities stands alone as
      national champions.

The Academy of Soccer Excellence '01 Girls Emerald team
beat the SoCal Rush 3-2 to win the U-16 National Premier
Cup in Westfield, Indiana. McKenna Martinez scored two
goals, and Maddie MORGAN (RHS) connected on the game
winner with less than a minute left in injury time.

The team is composed of some of the top young talent
from Tri-Cities high schools. MORGAN was a Herald All-
Area honorable mention from Richland, and midfielder
Kari Ward was a second-team pick at Kamiakin. The rest
of the team: Mia Becho, Avery Bond, Avery Campbell,
Elisabeth Cole, Campbelle Hunt, Carlee Johnson, Andrea
Martell, Isabela Nicacio, Julia Patterson, Allie
Pearson, Spencer Seabaugh, Kyah Weikum and Keana
      Wintrode."

Congratulations, girls!

Re: Club 40

The Club 40 site is now current with this year's attendees
listed. I had a hard time getting it up but talked with
someone and guess the webmaster had been on his honeymoon.

-Betti AVANT ('69) ~ from hot Richland but glad to have a
