Another Bomber Babe celebrates her birthday today, along with
(but not at the same place) a younger Bomber. Her, I knew from
school. Don't think we ever "interfaced" during school, but I
was at least aware of her. Him, a maybe for school, but
certainly from the lunches at Fife.

A tip of the ol' propeller beanie and a "Happy Birthday!" for
Dixie TROUT ('54) and Tom HUGHES ('56) on this day. Hope this
finds you in as good health as is possible.

-Bob Carlson, aka Mike CLOWES ('54) ~ Mount Angel, OR where
weather guessers are threatening 90 weather for the
beginning of the week. Sure hope it cools down for
      "Homer" Friday week.

Re: Some things

Just don't change... now if I mention the words "number 10"
and "number 32" people of my age group, give or take 10 years
either way would have a pretty good idea of the subjects of my
reference... I mentioned on Face Book the other day that two
of our guys were at the Washington State Senior Basketball
games last weekend. Unfortunately as many of you are aware,
physical infirmities have kept number 32 (Jim HOUSE ('63))
from participating for a few years now. Many of you may not
know the third guy in that dynamic trio... Denny NALDER ('65)
only lived in Richland from 6th grade thru 9th. From there he
and his sister, Sandi, moved to Alaska where Denny was an all
star basketball player and has been a b-ball coach in Boise
for his career since then. Never for a moment, did Denny stop
being one a the gang. He continues to spend time with all his
buds in Richland and many have taken up Alaska fishing with
him for years... so this year it was Ray STEIN ('64) and Denny
who participated in the Senior games. Terry DAVIS ('65) was
kind enough to supply me with a couple of snaps during the 3
on 3. One (the best one) was too blurry to share, but I am
sending the other of #10 and #11 proximately shown. And now
for the main event... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Tom HUGHES ('56) on your
special day, July 29, 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
