Re: Class of 1957 60 Year Reunion

One month left to sign up for this years' Club 40 annual
gathering and our 60 year reunion.

You should have gotten your registration form for our 60 year
reunion. We are having it in conjunction with Club 40 the
weekend of September 8th, 9th, and our picnic on the 10th.

Plan on attending our Class of 1957 Reunion Saturday
afternoon, September 9th, at the Richland Community Center
from noon until 3:00PM. Cost is $25 per person.

The Club 40 activities are optional and a lot of fun. You get
good food, a chance to visit with friends from classes ranging
from 1947 to 1977. A good time is had by all.

Plan to attend the Class of 1957 picnic on Sunday, September
10th, from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. Hot dogs, baked beans, potato
salad and chips will be provided. Cost is free.

Set down and fill out the registration form and make your
check payable to Richland Club 40 and mail it to Club 40
Treasurer, c/o Ann Thompson, 17224 Woodcrest Dr. NE, Bothell,
WA 98011.

See you in September.

I just want to wish my former neighbor, Tom HUGHES ('56) a
Happy, if belated Birthday.

Hope you heard from lots of people yesterday on your special

Well, Water Follies is going on this weekend in the Tri
Cities. It's hot and beautiful weather for all of the
activities. I don't do the boat races any more, but I always
attend the Allied Arts sponsored Art in the Park at Howard
Amon. Despite the horrible parking situation in that area it's
well worth the trip. I don't usually purchase much, but I
always am amazed at the ingenuity of the various artists.

This year I ran into my classmate, Pat "Gabe" GABEL ('63) (we
called her Pat). She was exhibiting her bronze sculptures for
the first time in 25 years at this event. She used to be a
regular, but life has a way of changing our patterns. What an
amazing talent she has with horses. I would compare hers to
Remington's equally well.

It is supposed to get really hot this coming week with triple
digits starting Monday and lasting all week. I may have to go
see my brother, John ('67), in Mesa, AZ to cool down.

-Marie RUPPERT Hartman ('63) ~ Thank goodness for the A/C!

Re: "On This Day" ~ 7/29/17 TC Herald

"1960 - A Richland High School teacher was buried by
tons of grain Tuesday when the grain truck she was
driving plunged down an embankment. The accident
happened after ground beneath the truck gave way,
causing it to fall. The teacher, a 40-year old woman,
died as a result of the accident, which happened north
      of Walla Walla. Richland Villager

Do any of you know the name of the teacher?
