The days dwindle down to the start of Oktoberfest here in
Mount Angel, OR. The weather promises to behave; sunshine
and cooler temps to prevail, with the slight possibility of
rain on Friday (10-20% chance).

It is also the birthday of a Bomber I went to school with.
We went so far as to graduate the same year. That being said,
I did not know Phoebe.

A tip of the ol' propeller beanie and a "Happy Birthday!" to
Dave KOEPPEN ('54). We waved to each other at Club 40 this
year, didn't speak, but who knows what we will do next year.

-Bob Carlson, aka Mike CLOWES ('54) ~ Mount Angel, OR Rumors
have been confirmed that next year Club 40 will be
convening their Annual Meeting in Kennewick (gasp, gasp)
That can happen when certain venues price themselves
	out of our market.

Re: I cannot tell a lie

Terry DAVIS ('65) has to have asked me a million times why I
got kicked out of Spalding... added to my crimes was the
fact that in 5th grade, I was over at Densow's playing with
matches in the small orchard... you know shooting them...
all of a sudden wham... the flames came from nowhere and
everywhere... I ran in the soda fountain door and yelled
"somebody" set the orchard on fire... I eventually fessed
up and Keith PETERSON ('65) gave me a dime to hush my little
brother... of course the Fire Chief knew my dad and the rest
is history... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeew I feel so much better

Today's B-day Bomber is a guy I've known all his life. He
used to go everywhere with us and when he was maybe 8, we
were not allowed to have breakfast at the Shilo because they
served booze in the dining room at NIGHT... we walked out and
have never been back... now that's power... HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
Steven ADAIR (08) on your special day, September 13, 2017!!!

Re: My entry in the 9/12/17 Sandstorm

I should have mentioned that the Albuquerque Airport is
co-located with Kirtland Air Force Base. Hence, the fighter
aircraft presence.
