Just sittin' around waitin' for the rain to fall. If it does.
Well, the weather guessers are so confidante that it will, makes
me wonder. There's a bunch of firefighters who hope it is so,
both in the gorge and down around Brookings, OR.

All that is off the subject. There another Bomber birthday worth
noting. One of the younger ones that I have come to know through
Club 40. Probably wouldn't mention him, but he married a fellow
classmate and she might lift what is left of my scalp if I
didn't.

A tip of the ol' propeller beanie and a "Happy Birthday!" to
Larry BELT ('57). Have a cool one and be nice to Dona. You know
what will happen if you are not, or step on her foot again.

Re: New Richland City Hall~ 9/16/17 Tri-City Herald

"The city of Richland will break ground on its new city
   hall at 10 a.m. Friday.

   Richland is building a three-story, 40,000-square-foot
building to consolidate city hall and administrative
operations now housed in three aging buildings. All are
failing after nearly 60 years of operation.

Last year, the city purchased 1.8 acres at 625 Swift
Ave., in the corner of the Federal Building parking
lot, for the new city hall."

"Once the new offices open in spring 2019, the old
buildings will be demolished and the property will be
made available for development supporting the city's
Swift Corridor plan to create a corridor between the
city's government heart and Howard Amon Park on the
Columbia River. The police department building is not
   part of the redevelopment."

Re: Bomber Football vs Kennewick ~ 9/16/17 Tri-City Herald

"Richland High School coach Mike NEIDHOLD ('77) and his
staff have never had to depend on just one player to
carry the load in the 28-3 football they've played over
   the past three seasons.

And after Friday night's 48-7 win over visiting
Kennewick - a game in which the running clock was used
for almost the entire second half - the Bombers stayed
   on track with that trend."
