Re: ahhhhh the good ol dayz

Wow... what a crew we gots today... memories, memories,
memories... as a town we were brought to a new awareness of
the politics and brutality of Cuban life by the arrival of the
B-day Bomber and many of his friends... I am still in contact
with several of them and proud to call them friends... of
course, Marines are always welcome... On the other hand, the
Bomber-babes remind me of carefree summers and alla times I
spent in the "Parker basement"... for at least a full summer,
we spent every week day in that basement... weekends we were
at the Uptown, the Lagoon and Hi-Spot... movies were a great
pastime with Newberry's popcorn (no. Not Newberry's train
songs... at that time I had not yet heard Mickey, Waylon or
Willie, ah but the time would come and in '64 I would discover
Waylon still wearing a ducktail, then a crew cut wearing Red-
headed stranger known as Willie and the rest is history)...
living where I did I was privileged to see some of the coolest
cars parked across Stevens and the prettiest Bomber-babes
coming and going from that house across the way I will always
cherish growing up in OUR home town... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Ann
LINK ('63), Beth(ie) PARKER ('63-RIP) and Hector ALVAREZ ('64)
on your special day, September 25, 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: unis [she means UNIFORMS}

Maren,

 Lots of teams have an alternate scheme for their unis. It's
like the Seahawks in their bright green unis for last year's
Thursday night game.

I was looking to buy a new car and found a color that is new
for the 2017 model of car I want. Neither the salesman nor
any of the others have seen a car in that color so they are
anxiously awaiting the arrival of mine. I said tell them not
to sell that color to anyone else for awhile until I have fun
in mine.

[Pretty Sure Betti is responding to my question about the
uniforms the Cougs wore for Saturday's game against Nevada.
They were baby poop green or seriously ugly Army green or
maybe charcoal gray? NOT maroon.  -Maren}
