WHAT: Richland Seniors Association BAZAAR
DATE: Saturday, November 4th
TIME: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
WHERE: Richland Community Center
The Richland Seniors Association will be holding their 13th
Annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 4th, from 9:00 am
to 3:00 pm at the Richland Community Center. This is our
biggest fund-raiser each year, and 1/2 of the profits go to
the RSA (Richland Seniors Association) Building Fund. This
helps provide things for the Richland Community Center that
are not covered by the City of Richland. We have almost 50
vendors, with a large variety of things to sell. There is
also a "Break Room" to eat lunch, or just rest your weary
feet. We will be selling sandwiches and chips, or you can
bring your own lunch and enjoy the "Break Room" if you get
tired of walking!

Sending a belated and heart-felt "Happy Birthday" to one of
the "gooder-than-good" guys and a Bomber of very positive
repute. Okay, so this man graduated 3 years before me, but
his brother, Jimmy DAVIS (RIP) graduated in '52, with me and
242 or 3 others. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, REX DAVIS ('49) on 10/31.
I hope you had a fun time passing out goodies to Halloweeners
and that you have a very fine year!

the best pulling guard I have ever seen... pulling because
he pulled some of the best stuff as a lineman I have ever

before I did, being a Sorority Sister of hers, and she has
remained very special to us and a bunch of '53ers... probably

All Bombers
There is a place here (actually in Texas) for vets with
PTSD. The men running it are vets who have experienced it
themselves. They have been given a very large facility in
Maud ,TX and need help with money donations for the next 5-6
months until their grants and etc. come in. If you are so
inclined to help contact me and I'll give you the address.
The organization is Lancer Legacy Ranch.
Matt Fisk and Carl Wild are two of the founders. Matt has
written a book and on Dec 7 National Geographic will air
something based on Matt's book and he will be interviewed.

inch raised concrete barriers around parking lots lately?
It's harder than it used to be!!! Maybe being over weight has

and you're so old"... reading yesterday's brief SS, got me
thinking of songs one would never want to send to or request
for a Bomber-babe one was trying to impress... but lucky for
me I'm just celebrating two guys I've known forever... I
prolly met the youngest one first in about second grade...
I'd meet the other one in around 6th grade and have been a
huge fan of both of them since the first meeting... One of
these guys went on to become a famous Captain of a huge
destroyer floating around the South China Sea long enough to
pull my skinny behind out of a bit of a pickle in 1968 for
which I shall be forever grateful! OK maybe I overstated his
rank a tad... but only a tad... My memories of these two
Bombers will stay a large part of the best of times in our
wonderful Home Town... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Steve DENLER ('64) and
Dickie RHODES ('65) on your special day, November 3, 2017!!!

I want to wish a late happy birthday to one of the all time
great Bombers, Rex DAVIS ('49) on 10/31. Back when "The
Park" was Riverside Park Coach Davis taught me to play
tennis. I give Rex credit (along with the fact that I was
hopeless as a baseball player) for my now going on 58 years
of enjoying tennis. It was a treat to play a little with Rex
a couple years ago. I look forward to another of those get
togethers soon.
Two questions Coach:
-All my life I have had a much stronger backhand than
forehand. Was that your great coaching or do I just have a
lousy forehand?
-Do you have any pointers on how to reverse my gradual
slowing down? I seem to be getting a little slower every
year. This has been going on for about 35 years! I really
need to do something... SOON!
