I, too, am an AOL user and have been for a really long time. It's the only provider I've every had. I've never had any problems with it, even while there was such an uproar from lots of people that AOL did all sorts of goof ups. I'm with you... I don't like AOL "Gold" either. I hate all the ads!!! I spend more time deleting them than I do reading whatever I'm trying to read. I don't like the thought of going to another provider, as everyone knows my AOL address and I don't want to have to go through the trouble of changing everything. It's not just my friends, but businesses. Why do we have to pay now? I just may go ahead and change to "Gmail". -Carol CONVERSE Maurer (Magic Class of '64) ~ Kennewick ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Be somebody!! Please will "Somebody" tell us how to use gmail and keep your AOL address. -Maren] ************************************************************* ************************************************************* >>From: David RIVERS ('65) Re: Good buds I am quite glad I checked the Bomber website as it tickled a memory... now where these come from is beyond me... for example, I heard the Little Honda song on the radio today... now I don't get all excited about that kind of "kids" music unless it is played by the Beach Boys in which case I go all giddy... but I immediately thought of Tony HARRAH ('65) as he just came unglued over that song because they say the honda does something like a mattress instead of a Matchless... now given the quality of our systems back then I cannot confirm from memory what the Hondells said but the memory remains... Another of Tony's favs was "My boyfriend's back"... he hadda little schtick he would do to that song giving it a whole nuther meaning... (see how this works... now my mind is flying all over the place)... anyway, the Memory to which I refer is one of the b-day Bombers walking by myself on the way home from Korten's where he had acquired one of the new hot singles, "Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu"... why I would recall that conversation after all these years totally escapes me but then I guess that's just how my mind works... I just notice the spacing on this post changed and I dunno why... sorry Maren ('63 & '64)... I dunno how these stupid machines work... the other two guys are guys I run with as much as possible when I'm home and always look forward to seeing them. In any event, I sure hope the b-days are good ones!
