Re: overwhelmed

Hey Bombers: I can only say I was totally overwhelmed by the
love shown to me on my Birthday. That is a good thing. From
the first call from Floyd MELTON ('57) all through the day in
calls, emails and face book posts. I must say I have never
understood how some parts of face book work but all of a
sudden I pushed something and was blessed with so many b-day
wishes I just couldn't believe it. Sarah and I had a wonderful
lunch and I wore my "I may be old but I got to see all the
cool bands" Jack GARDINER ('61) gave me a couple of b-days
ago... and certainly can't name you all and wouldn't even try.
You made my day... my week... my month... My year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Re: UW vs. WSU Football

To all you Coug football fans: to state the obvious, even if
you're a passing team, it almost always helps to have a good
running game; especially in the rain of Husky Stadium where
hanging on to passes is not that easy.

In deference to #10 from RHS class of '64, I will be rooting
for the Cougs in B-ball.

To: Mike FRANCO ('70)

My whole life I have been a big fan of Peanuts. Many,
many times in my life I have come upon Lucy holding that
football... usually a Friday or Saturday around Thanksgiving
time... occasionally disguised as a birthday present (this
year.) Each time I sincerely believe that this is the year
I am really going to kick that old ball.

WHAT A BLOCKHEAD!

We Cougs do appreciate the annual lesson in patience, faith,
and humility. I am absolutely certain that next year is going
to be the year and I am counting the days!

Have a Happy Hanukkah, a great holiday season, and a grudging
good luck in whatever bowl game the Huskies go to.
