May you have many more!! -Dan HAGGARD ('57) and Marj QUALHEIM Haggard ('60) ************************************************************* ************************************************************* >>From: Diane DAVENPORT ('62) To: David DOUGLAS ('62) I am so, so sorry for the loss of your son. He is out of pain. I hope you know what loving care you and your wife gave to him. May you all be in a peaceful place. -Diane DAVENPORT ('62) ************************************************************* ************************************************************* >>From: Bill SCOTT ('64) To: David DOUGLAS ('62) It isn't supposed to be this way. We're not supposed to bury our children, and I can't imagine anything tougher, because it's usually so unexpected. Celebrate the best of what Rodger was, and what he gave to the world-and what you in turn gave to the world in giving him life. Thanks for remembering that Bombers are a family. Believe that family is with you in this painful time, coming in an otherwise joyous season of gift- giving. Rodger was the gift you gave the world, and I hope Rodger in turn uplifted others during his time on earth, for that is the task we all should undertake. -Bill SCOTT ('64) ************************************************************* ************************************************************* >>From: Carol CONVERSE Maurer (Magic Class of '64) To: David DOUGLAS ('62) I'm saddened to read of the passing of your son, Rodger. He put up a good fight, but I think you and your family did as well. He will be missed by all who knew him. Jesus had other plans for him and I'm sure he is thrilled to be in heaven, looking upon all the other saints. -Carol CONVERSE Maurer (Magic Class of '64) ~ Kennewick ************************************************************* ************************************************************* >>From: David RIVERS ('65) Re: Partners in crime Now, I can take no credit for a good bit of this story that occurred, I'm pretty sure, during B-ball season, 1962/'63... I have heard so many versions that I will not even attempt to sort them out. It was prolly about the time the sign above Mac Hall read: "LYDA'S ON THE RAG"... I also take no credit... anyway, at the time of the main event, I would bet you couldn't get more than 5 kids to admit they participated at the last Gold Medal Reunion, there seemed to have been more participants than were in the Gold Medal grageating class... But alas... along with the b-day Bomber-babe, her spouse ('63), and several other members of the Gold Medal Class, I must admit I did partake in defacing gubmint property during the GMC's 50 year reunion... man was that a blast... looked just like the original hand ball court. We tried to take some of the old paint off but it was so thick it was like a thick skin... unfortunately, the "63" has been painted over again so there is pretty much no evidence of the crime... wait... I just remembered... in scraping off many layers, I did actually find the layer containing the first GMC's painting efforts... so I guess the latest one could be discovered as well... in that case any confession contained herein was coerced and no Maranda was given... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Anita CLEAVER ('63) on your special day, December, 8, 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -David RIVERS ('65) ************************************************************* ************************************************************* >>From: Shirley COLLINGS Haskins ('66) Re: Mike NEIDHOLD ('77) to raise 12th Man Flag ~ 2/7/17 TCH "State title was nice, but Richland's football coach about to join some elite company. What do Ken Griffey Jr., Bill Russell, Jack Sikma, Randy Johnson and Mike NEIDHOLD have in common? Nothing, for now. But come Dec. 17th, the Richland football coach along with his counterpart at Royal, Wiley Allred, will join the ranks who have raised the 12th Man Flag at a Seattle Seahawks game." -Shirley COLLINGS Haskins ('66) ~ from a cold and foggy Richland ************************************************************* ************************************************************* >>From: Betti AVANT ('69) Re: sorry this is late notice This month has already gotten away from me so I apologize for the late notice.
