Re: Fond memories

Today is one of those split feeling kinda posts for me... the
two Bomber-babes were both dear to me for different reasons.
I never dated the one, but spent enuff time at her house that
you might think I did... great hang out spot for Spalding
kids... the other, I hadda crush on in HS and we began dating
several years later when she lived in So-Cal... I will admit
I went with her youngest sister in High School before she was
ready for a "younger guy"... I have such mixed feelings about
those we have lost. Selfishly, I want my friends back, here
in the here n now feet planted firmly on mother earth... of
course I know them to be far better off where they are and
the joy they must feel is far beyond my comprehension... so
with that lead in I will just say: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Janice
BEARDSLEY ('64-RIP) and Kathy WERSEN ('64-RIP) on your
special day, December 29, 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Dupus Boomer's Restaurant ~ 12/27/17 Tri-City Herald

	"DUPUS BUMMER: RESTAURANT'S CLOSURE PUTS
	KINK IN DEVELOPMENT PLANS"

	By Wendy Culverwell wculverwell@tricityherald.com

	December 27, 2017 01:06 PM

"A family restaurant named for a 1940s Hanford
cartoon character was supposed to anchor
Richland's vision of connecting downtown to the
	Columbia River at Swift Boulevard.

But Dupus Boomer's Downtown closed on Christmas
Eve after a little over a year in business,
	disappointing city officials."

Re: Cougs

Bums me up they lost!!!! Now it falls to the Dawgs to post a
win for the State.

	[FINAL: MI State 42 - Cougs 17]

-Brad WEAR ('71) ~ Plano, Tx where it is finally cold, and
going to get colder, but the hunting is soooo good.

[And this reminds me: Why neither #2 Auburn or #4 Wisconsin
is in the Rose Bowl or the Sugar Bowl? I mean, if winners of
Rose and Sugar determine National Champion, then #s 1, 2, 3,
and 4, should all be in Rose and Sugar. Sabin paid somebody!
Just sayin. -Maren]

Marilynn WORKING Highstreet ('54) asks if S. D. day is Sadie
Hawkins Day. Could very well be since google sez Sadie
Hawkins Day is in November. I can believe that answer.

Sandstorm Friday, May 27, 1955 issue page 6,
	HI-SPOT SENIORS

"The High Spot Club is going to have a dance in
honor of the seniors and is to be held June 2,
immediately after the raduation exercises. The
underclassmen are going to wear summer clothes,
and the graduates are going to come in their
graduation apparel. Records will furnish the
music, and of course JeNeal Martin will be at the
door to take everyones 25 cents. The seniors are
especially encouraged to attend this last dance of
their high school years. Let's make this a dance
	they'll always remember."

My high school didn't have a newspaper to capture our teenage
years. Too bad... it would be fun to look back 44 years on
old Baker High. I only have a few issues but I'll type up the
articles and pass them along. Darlene Earp's broken arm will
be next up.
