Re: Bomber Spirit

Bombers Rule... now tho I just said it, it goes without
saying... but Bombers Rule because individual Bombers create
such pride and spirit it is hard not to rule! Today we got a
couple of classmates who have added to the Bomber spirit
immensely... One of them by wearing number 33 on the basketball
floors around the state and particularly at Col-Hi... now the
other may be something of an unsung hero... over the years there
has been an active attack on the Cloud and the Bomb by many,
most of whom lack a history in Richland which serves to give the
Cloud and the Bomb its meaning to many of us... the campaign to
remove the reference to Richland's proud history has met very
heavy resistance from many of us... Now once upon a time, this
Bomber, Jimmie and Steven ADAIR ('67/08) were on a rather
taxing trip to pick up a '34 5 window coupe for the Tooter from
Chicago... it was a grueling trip and when they arrived in
Vegas, Jimmie had a heart attack in my office... he had had at
least one earlier on the trip... my Doctor juiced him into the
hospital with a cardiio guy waiting as he arrived... as we
waited with him he had another attack... it was something...
Jimmie ended up staying in the hospital for surgery while the
other two headed back to Richland... now the B-day Bomber had
scoped out a great looking Bomb project in Salt Lake and they
picked it up on the way... Jimmie, Jim STULL ('62-RIP) and
others turned it into a beautiful tribute to our town's
history... it was placed outside the Girl's gym,

but literally "ripped" out a couple of days later.
	http://alumnisandstorm.com/Mascot/010719-NM-NOT-TCH.htm
Since that time, it has been used as a Reunion Symbol... now
that's spirit if ya ask me! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Roy BALLARD ('63)
and Thea WALLACE ('63-RIP) on your special day, March 15, 2018!
