Re: gangs n libaries

Now at first blush I'm sure that the subject of this post seems
a little strange... ah but have no fear, Bombers, they do go
together... In the middle of the second grade, we relocated from
Jefferson to Spalding... now these two Bombers were about as
close a friends as one could have atta new school... the Bomber-
babe lived just up the street and come to think of it the
Bomber-dude lived up one street and about as far up the next
street as the Babe... now the babe served as the libarian at our
little local libary to which several of us "contributed" books
for the chance to check them out again... nobody seems to
remember it so I guess it coulda been one a them very real
dreams... Now the guy was another story... his younger bro ('65)
was one a my best buds... in fact, he, Craig DAVIS ('65) and
I tried to follow in the guy's footsteps and become bards for
our 5th grade class... we sang "Peggy Sue" and were very well
received I'm sure... Now the guy had his own group called as I
recall "the tops" but he always made fun and called them the
"flops"... we also had a bicycle "gang" called the red devils...
to say my time at Spalding was fantastic is an understatement...
and these two kids were certainly responsible in great part...
alas, my tenure would be cut short after 5th grade, due to some
of my antics, but not before I was told by our PE teacher (whose
name escapes me... he would later ban me from Hi-Spot) that I
was the slowest human being he had ever seen in his entire
life... ahhhhhhhhhh the good ol' days... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Kenny
PETERSON ('64) and Nina JONES ('65) on your special day, March
22, 2018!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
