Total of 48 teams now signed u to run the 2020 Iditarod. NOT
among the 48: 4-time champions Jeff King and Dallas Seavey.

Other previous champions in the mix: Lance Mackey, Mitch
Seavey, Martin Buser, Joar Ulsom, and Pete Kaiser. 

Some other names you may recognize: 2 Redingtons (Ryan and
Rob), Bruggeman (from Montana), Jessie Holmes (boy), and
Jessie Royer (girl). Some who have placed 2nd before: 
Ramey Smyth (pronounced Smith -- no relation), Aliy Zirkle,
Nic Petit, and Linwood Fiedler.

10 rookies, 11 females, mostly American from AK, but also
some from Canada and Norway, one from Italy and one from
Denmark.
