Re: Falling!

Tuesday morning I had gone for blood work for my next doctors
visit! On my way out a little dog darted between my feet
causing me to stumble and I fell. Some how (no idea why) I
turned as I was falling and hit the back of my head on the
concrete floor. It knocked me colder that my new wife's
heart! I have no idea how long I was out but when I awoke,
there were firemen and paramedics lifting me to a gurney.
There were EEG wires attached to me...my shirt was sliced
open and that damn little dog. Its owner was in the lab
having some work performed???? but I was out plenty long to
cause the ER doctor to send me thru a Head P.E.T. scan,
chest X-rays, blood work to check blood gasses. only to
find nothing wrong with me that wasn't there before.

I still get a bit dizzy on standing too quickly, but am
cleared to drive. Which is good, as I am due Thursday morning
to start my 5th go round with some sort of chemo therapy I
get 8 treatments with each new drug. then a 3 week break then
we start a new course. Thus far, my lung cancer is no longer
growing. Is hopes it may be starting to shrink. That's why
the P.E.T. scan. They are not overly sure why but I am
still here. I was due to die summer of 2017. Much to the
disappointment of the lady in the house I am still here,
still doing my own grocery shopping (as she is a lousy cook
and has no idea what is good to eat), my own laundry, and
85% of my own cooking. Her idea of spaghetti is Prego sauce
and boiled noodles. Her stews are even more bland. Her idea
of hot sauce is a dab of ketchup. Her salad is chunks of
lettuce and ranch dressing. all in all I would rather boil
her dog for lunch.

On the positive side I have lost 5 pounds in the last month.
