Yippee. -Carol CARSON Renaud ('60) ~ from chilly/gloomy Lynnwood, WA ************************************************************* ************************************************************* >>From: Jim HAMILTON ('63) Re: And now for something entirely different We all know the diffy between a "War Story" and a "Fairy Tale". This is neither, but I am looking for some help. The Forever Young and Always Lovely Miss Nancy ('65) and I are in the process of tieing up some lose ends on a trip to Vietnam next Year. We are hoping to visit the Cat Tien National Park, which is between Saigon (I'm old school) and Dalat. It is supposed to have some incredible bird watching and a gazillion butterflies. Has anyone out the in Bomberland been there recently? We are trying to get a grip on accommodations inside the park. All the reviews aren't telling us what we want to hear or experience. I need more creature comforts than the last time I "vacationed" in Southeast Asia. And we thank you for your support. -jimbeaux -Jim HAMILTON ('63) ************************************************************* ************************************************************* >>From: Jo MILES ('64) Re: Richland nostalgia One of the nice things about being a Bomber is reading the Alumni Sandstorm and remembering unique experiences that could only have happened in early Richland more than 50 years ago. For example, a teenager who loved to hunt and fish, but not yet old enough for a driver's license could do what I did. Climb onto a bicycle wearing a vest full of live ammunition, lay a shotgun across the handlebars and pedal off through the neighborhoods toward the edge of town to hunt game birds. I remember motorists driving by waving and smiling apparently happy to see an armed teenager out loose on the streets. -Jo MILES ('64) ************************************************************* ************************************************************* That's it for today.
