FROM THE EDITOR: Amazon sent me some tea towels that I did
not order. Did one of you send them to me or is it just an
Amazon screw up? Amazon isn't gonna chage me for them and
they told me to keep them -Maren

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🙂 ❤️

Let's hope 2022 shows us more love than we've had the last couple years!

Our hearts are broken to learn class of '54 lost an amazing woman on
Thursday, 12/30/21! ❤️ Norma MYRICK Nunamaker lost her
2-year fight with lung cancer! RIP, sweet friend!

The loss of Actress, Betty White Friday, Decembber 31st shows us God
wants more angels! ❤️

One day we hope to be able to meet up again with our classmates for
lunch! Ginny WEYERTS Wendland ('54) will be back from Pasadena in a few
days, where she went to help decorate some floats for the Rose Parade.
What a lady! Most of us from that year are 85 years old! Who can keep up
with Ginny?

Re: New Subject

Maren, keep up your good work on sending us the Sandstorm. Glad you're
new desk chair is working out! Do what you can, and get your rest!

-Marilynn WORKING Highstreet ('54) ~ Tri Cities, WA where we're getting
some snow late in the year! That's enough! 🙂 21° is enough,
	too! 🙂

Re: Pearl DROTTS ('64)

You had the relation to Cecil Drott(s) correct - he was Pearl's father. I
have heard from a few Bombers with information on/about Pearl, and the
last anyone knew, she was still alive. I haven't had a response to the
letter I sent her, but am hoping to hear soon. Had two phone numbers for
her, but the "land line" constantly rings and the cell number is no
longer a "working number". Thanks for your help with this.

Re: Joey WEBB ('88)

Joey, son of '64 Bombers Gary WEBB and Kathy HOFF Conrad, has been
diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). His friends are having a
fundraiser this Saturday night, January 8th, 2022, at 6pm at the Knights
of Columbus in Richland. There will be a spaghetti dinner and silent
auction to raise funds for his care. Donations are accepted.

Re: 1957 PRTR Model

To: All Bombers

1957 model of the Plutonium Recycle Test Reactor (PRTR to those who
worked there). For many years you could see the silver dome on the South
end of the 300 Area. About 15 years ago a Bomber came by my Safety EXPO
booth and we talked about his Hanford experience. I think his first name
was Jerry, an electrician at PRTR. Jerry told me about an accident when
a tool he was using came in contact with 440 buss, it blew him off what
ever he was standing on and fell several feet. Jerry said "I was
incredibly lucky to be alive". Jerry passed away a number of years ago
and was a contributor to the Sandstorm.
