So great to see them after 3 years apart! Attached are my pictures I took. -Marilynn WORKING Highstreet ('54) ~ Pasco ******************************************************** ******************************************************** >>From: Helen CROSS Kirk ('62) oh dear, when I saw this last issue of the Sandstorm, I realized I written in yet about our great 60 year reunion of the class of '62 held in Richland sept.9-11. it was a great get together and I want to thank all of the hard-working committee members who put this one together, as they have all our reunions over the last 60 years. I would list their names, but I'm afraid I might omit someone. We had Spudnuts, walked among many Corvettes (there was a Covette get- together meeting at the Holiday Inn (old desert Inn, but with a needed facelift). The place looks and feels new and is a place you enjoy being at. (I know I'm not suppose to end my sentences with a preposition, but it's late and it works.) We also had a very interesting tour of the high school led by a non-Bomber teacher. But he is getting the Bomber spirit. Some of us even bought Bomber shirts in the on campus store, it's quite modern and up to date, compared to our memories of the old place. And we were treated to a performance by Brad UPTON (74) comedian. Pretty funny. http://alumnisandstorm.com/Xtra/Cr0/221017-Reunion_Pics.htm I even ended my stay in Richland going to see the matinee of the Play at the old Downtown theater, "Doublewide ", except Terry DAVIS Knox ('65) wasn't in that funny presentation. The part is perfect for him. I tried to see you in a play, Terry, but how many more chances will I get. Now we are hoping for an 80th casual birthday party in 2 years. Bombers Forever. We did miss Pete BEAULIEU ('62) and several others of our absent classmates, but those of us present carried on and enjoyed being together. pS: hope you like your new home, Maren. Karen KLEINPETER Kroger ('63) has been visiting for a week, and going through annuals from Chief Jo and Col Hi, I found a signature by Sharon in my '58 Chief Jo annual. It says "Lynn, Best wishes in the future. Sharon Tate." Have looked online for the value with little success. I have seen samples of her signature and I am sure it is correct. It has a distinctive S and T, the T especially. I don't want to sell it, just know its value. Lynn, this place will give you an auction estimate: https://www.ha.com/worth/autographs-value.s -Lynn JOHNSON Andrews ('63) ~ Sherwood, Oregon ******************************************************** ******************************************************** >>From: Terry DAVIS Knox ('65) Re: Almost Dying The bad thing about a heart attack is that it usually gives no warning. But that's also the good thing about a heart attack, because since it usually gives no warning, you don't sit around worrying about it and wasting your life before it strikes. Because it will strike, sooner or later--of course it will--and when it does, worrying about it ain't gonna do you a damn bit of good, anyway. So I had this heart attack, and I'm still alive and I'll let you know if anything changes that's worth mentioning between now and the next one. In the meantime, my kindest regards to John FOSTER '65', who broke 2 of my ribs while performing CPR on me on my back porch and saving my life last Monday morning. And I seriously mean that. Thank you, John. May you live long and prosper.
