As to the value of a Sharon TATE ('61wb-RIP) signature: Patricia
Krenwinkel would place a value on such a signature at 52 years and
counting! The rest of us would call it priceless!

Because my old "puter" died a wicked and evil death. It took with it all
the speeches, poems, long winded jokes and stories I had accumulated over
the last 27 years!

Having to start all over again except for the few poems I happen to
recall. My memory is showing major gaps and a laxed attitude about it.

To compound the problem, I have been thwarted from any attempts to get
back to my small following on Facebook. I Tried to reconnect but was told
to summit my cell phone number and I would receive a code thus allowing me
back. Unfortunate, but I have a cellphone that is almost as old as I and
it allows phone calls. That's it. no frills no no thrills. Today I
received an E-mail from them saying that my time to use said code to
reconnect had expired and was told "GOODBYE"!

Normally I might feel some regret. But seeing it was Facebook, I felt
relief. Now I no longer have to try any semblance of rectitude or other
niceties. So excelsior, onward and upward!

Now I only have Alexia to fight. she keeps messing up my request for soft
jazz. Women (real or imaginary), have been my personal Bain for many,
many years.

If you are addicted to drugs, Try mixing it with Brake fluid: you will
find it easier to stop. I don't even apologias for that!

-Rex HUNT ('53wb) ~ from Lovely downtown Hanford, CA. where just this
morning as I waited in line at the local Burger King for my morning
coffee, there were two rather pleasant blondes standing in front of
me chatting. One turned and we had eye contact. I said pardon me
ma'am. Are you two ladies Sisters. She giggled and looking me right
in the eye she retorted No! we aren't even Catholic.

I had my first heart attack over eight years ago (no classic symptoms just
fatigue). Got stent installed, helped but not for long! Number two about 4
months later (no classic symptoms just fatigue). This time they lifted the
hood and did a valve job and patched three radiator hoses closed me up and
gave me a limited warranty and sent me home. I was back to work in 6 weeks
and retired last year. I did make a few changes like losing 40 pounds and
increasing my exercise routine: couple miles walking per day. My warranty
is up next year but they don't issue renewals so I will have to watch my
self!

Heart attacks are bad but nothing to cause extreme aggravation!

Wow, that is amazing that John FOSTER's ('65) performing CPR on you saved
your life.

We never know what the day will bring, do we.

Did it slow you down a bit?

So was this before or after your class of '65 had it's reunion?

-Helen CROSS Kirk ('62) ~ We are facing 5 nights of below freezing temps.
It's only reaching 46° today, so feels like winter has arrived here

As for missing my surely much-awaited grand arrival at our 60 year class
reunion, the remark that I was ?absent? might be misconstrued as, you
know, missing in action (MIA). Not so. My intention had been to at least
slip over and back from Seattle, on the same day, for the Saturday morning
informal gathering. Too many other factors crowded in at the last moment.

Now, as for your admitted and appalling use of a dangling preposition, be
assured that you are in good company. Winston Churchill once spoke of this
infraction of the English language, and how there occurred something that
he ?would not put up with.? In mocking correctness, instead, he commented
?that is something up with which I will not put!?

And this too. In my eighth grade English class (Chief Jo), Mrs. Smith
determined to divide the class into two columns on the following day. The
contest was for the first in line in the first row to recall one of
thirty-five prepositions listed alphabetically in our workbooks. Then the
first person in the opposite row would respond with another. And so on
down the line. The purpose was to see which line recalled the most and got
the best of the contest.

I determined to be the first in line, and then that night memorized the
entire list so completely that I could recite the whole bag of thirty-five
in a timed seven (!) seconds. The idea was to shoot my mouth off for seven
second before she could shut me up (dangling preposition!). The contest
never took place. But I'm still locked and loaded with my tongue twister.
Waiting?

When my brother Tim ('62) took (I believe) Washington
State History at Carmichael. I helped him memorize the
39 counties in the state of Washington for some contest.
I hoped to be able to win the contest when I got to
Carmichael, but they didn't have a contest the year I
took Washingto State History. I can still recite them
(in somewhat less than 15 seconds), can, and do at the
drop of a hat. Also recite them when I get a little tipsy
and whenever I'm in some recovery room, too, -Maren

But, how does this compare to classmate Eric MICKELSON ('62) whom I'm
still in touch with (dangling preposition!), and who in later years
memorized and could recite ?pi? out to 700 digits?

Re: Happy Halloween from cousin ITT

Yes cousin Itt spells his name with two T's. Don't know why, maybe because
Addams is spelled with two D's, which is unusual, but not unknown.

Just finished making my Halloween decoration this morning (Oct 26, 2022).
My daughter asked if I was finished, took one look at it, went back to her
room and brought out a mask and held it on him. I said, "That's a good
idea!" I added the mask to him. My daughter lives with me. We bought the
house with the idea she would move back in with us so she could help take
care of my wife and beside it is a lot cheaper to buy one house than to
rent two apartments; and the house is three times bigger than one
apartment, with a small shop and its own cement pond, (whch I could do
without but my daughter lives in during the summer.

The left side shows the armature I made for him based on an old broken
pole lamp. A cardboard disk held up by a hose clamp, then another hose
clamp holding a peanut butter jar with holes drilled in it, then a plastic
salad bowl for his head, topped off by another peanut butter jar, cut down
so the hat will fit correctly. After that photo I eliminated the upper
hose clamp and set the lower peanut butter jar directly on the cardboard
(3 layers hot glued together) and made cousin Itt 1 1/2" shorter, it
worked out better that way. I glued part of the grass skirt around the
cardboard disk, and some more around the upper peanut butter jar. I then
put two screws into the cardboard disk to hold the mask. I think it is a
little too low for Itt's mouth and nose, but then, who knows where cousin
Itt's mouth and nose really are? I bought the grass skirt, hat, and salad
bowl from a thrift store, the glasses from the Dollar Store, a the rest
was just stuff I had laying around. I would like to display him outdoors,
but don't think I will because we have a lot of cats in the neighbourhood
who like to mark their territory. If I do I will attach his hat to the
pole with a screw and big old fender washer, painted black, so it will not
blow off. Have thought of a couple ways I could have done better, but not
worth the effort to tear it apart and do over.

??..you're funny(*grin*). Yep, am definitely old enough to remember the
movie, ?Some Like it Hot?---as for Bakersfield---we moved to Idaho 8 years
ago---decided it was time to get the hell out of CA! now, we are in the
process of moving, again, this time to Missouri (?Misery?)---I live with
my oldest daughter and her family, her husband's family are all back
there, his folks' health is in decline, so he's decided it's time to be
closer to them. Can't say I'm a fan of moving to that part of the Country,
but I will learn to adjust to the ticks, chiggers, high humidity and the
tornadoes!

To: Terry DAVIS Knox ('65)

Sorry to hear you've had a heart attack! Scary stuff! Had mine back in
'01---have had a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted and both of them
have kept this ?ol ticker? humming right along---heart medication also
helps. Take care and do as your doctor advises---we are no longer ?spring
chickens?, need to take extra care of our health.

Hello Bombers,

This is a 2-part note.

#1--I have a new email address and am trying to check if it's working so
if anyone can answer me let me know, OK? HomeAgain131369@Outlook.com

#2--Is there any interest in starting up our Bomber lunches again? Another
participant was to check with the new owners of the Lil'Moon Diner,
formerly JD's. Again, if so let me know and I'll post a day and time. I'm
looking at the 3rd Saturday at noon. The first one would be in January,
2023. Their hours have changed while they were dealing with their
daughter's cancer but I heard she has passed away.

[Look oat the whole year and you will find the 2nd Saturday
is better overall than the 3rd. -Maren]

Thanks,

-Betti AVANT ('69) ~ Richland
