FROM THE EDITOR: I thought the Sandstorm would get easier, but it's not. I
cried cuz I couldn't remember how to stitch pictures together (for the
Ehinger Brothers picture). China virus took a little piece of my brain and
won't give it back.... AND ALL the text seems to be getting too small to
read these days... VERY frustrating. I can increase the size with SOME
programs, but not all... and those I can't get bigger are so frustrating.

Re: Much ado About nothing!

Something inappropriate! for your morning coffee break!

Bird do it, and they fly!
Bees do it, and they die
Dogs do it, and they stick to it!
  Why can't you and I?

We finally had a rain large enough to turn the dirt on my car into mud
which dried very quickly and formed a thick layer of Hardpan so now they
will need a Hammer & chisel to wash my car!

My son keeps asking me why don't I move to Laguna Nigal, CA near him and
avoid this hell hole. I keep telling him I would, But I don't, Because I
hate to leave Paradise!

Re: It's November

May the gods forever curse politicians! if they are not stealing from us,
they are lying to us.

They bitch about all the waste in the world, then ship you a freight train
load of crap in the mail from August to November!

Each billboard size mailer is either reiterating or creating lies. the
next time one tells the truth will be the first time!

This is all because of us. We do not reject these people. We honor them.
Thieves and crooks, charlatans. Knaves! we place them on pedestals, crown
them with Holly and shield them with golden cloaks. We do not test them
for integrity or intelligent. yet allow them the power to create our laws,
our rules, our conduct, with out even questioning theirs. Damn people will
we ever learn?

Rex Hunt (53wb) from dear old Hanford Ca. where we will elect a left
handed nutbag with a right handed screw driver! with left hand thread. The
last honest politician elected in the USA was Truman! and that was by
accident: Well Jimmy Carter but he was too befuddled by the crooks in his
administration to count!

PS my son bought me an ALEXA ball. I am totally blown away by the sound
from a 3 inch ball. Orchestra music from it astounds my senses. The
Violins to kettle drums sound in the same room as I. The jokes are lousy,
but that's why they gave it a woman's name! But its the first female that
ever listened to me and obeys my command.

Tune in next time and hear Batman say "We must rid the country of
Politicians and bat guano or is that the same thing?"

Re: A whole lot of noise, signifying nothing!

Well its been a year since the doc's tried to kill me. and I had a choice:
go to hell or Bakersfield. of course me being me, I chose the worse of the
two and went to Bakersfield!

I seem to feel well but that is also an illusion! My mind is as clear as
it ever was or will be, (not saying much for my mental process)!

My son just returned from a 58 day stay in Saudi Arabia. He swears that
Flies are their nation bird! For a guy who loves the balmy weather of the
south Pacific and scuba diving, the dessert sands are an ordeal! He is
home safely in Guam again. (a dangling proposition's or is that
preposition?

Linda REINING ('64) is leaving Boise for Missouri. DAMN! she fled
Bakersfield to gain sanity. I guess it did not work! Reminds me of that
old LOUIS PRIMA tune Round and round we go, down and down we go! In a
spin. That resembles the spiral of a flushed toilet! Well Linda as my
Japanese friend says Rots O Ruck!

I just might live forever!! I was told that Heaven would never accept me
and Hell won't have me. I guess the Devil hates competition!

A limerick I composed for my Home Nurse!

There was a young lady named Nan!
Who liked to read while getting a tan!
     Once while improving her mind,
     She bared her behind.
Now nan has no tan line!

-Rex Hunt (53wb) From lovely downtown Hanford, CA where it rained last
night! I had 9 rain spots on my windshield this AM. But we are
safe. But thank goodness the National Guard was alerted in case
	we started to wash out!

Re: Spudnut T-shirt

Hi! I've noticed that the Spudnut shop has been mentioned lately so I had
my daughter help me take a picture of the T-shirt I have. It was the one
my brother, Bob BOOTH ('55) wore when he worked selling Spudnuts door to
door. I've been thinking of making a pillow out of it.

Just noticed a reminder that we should all remember the Junior Gyrene ('65

In case you weren't aware, Jeanette and Jim (both '54) got hitched on this
day. If you see either of them, let them know I wished them a "Happy Anniversary!"

SNET: 11/17/22

My, how the time flies. We aren't even to Thanksgiving and it's already
time to wish Bruce SCHOENROCK ('54) a "Happy Birthday!"

And, last but not least, a "Happy Anniversary!" to Gene ('53) and Treasure
('54).

SENT: 11/10/22

On this Veteran's (nee Armistice) Day, let me thank those who are or have
served in the Armed Forces. No matter how boring it may have been, you've
done or are doing a good job.

Now, to other business. "Happy Birthday!" wishes to Bev COATES ('52), Jack
SINDERSON ('53) and Bob JOHNSON ('54). That pretty much covers a wide
variety of classes.

And, if you didn't vote last Tuesday; you've only yourselves to blame for
the outcome.

SENT: 11/7/22

I'd best wish Dona McCLEARY ('54) a "Happy Birthday!" lest she send her
biker husband after me for not doing so. You got it, Red.

SENT: 10/31/22

Wishing Rex DAVIS ('49) a "Happy Birthday!" with hopes that his health
will improve.

SENT: 11/1/22

It's All Saints (Hallows) Day. It is also Jim MEFFORD's ('54) birthday,
which is not to be confused with the former. "Happy Birthday!", Jim.

SENT: 11/2/22

A day to remember, 'cuz it's Norma LOESCHER'S ('53) birthday. I think we
should all wish her a "Happy Birthday!" And then adjourn to some nearby
adult watering hole to celebrate.

sent: 11/7/22

A moment to wish Marilyn "Em" DeVINE ('52) a "Happy Birthday!". No
speeches, please; a mere "queenly" wave of the hand will suffice.

Re: Buck Buchanan father of Bomber Randy BUCHANAN ('57)
 http://alumnisandstorm.com/Xtra/Sor/221130_00.htm

To: All Bombers

A few years ago Randy BUCHANAN ('57) gave me his father's collection of
fire department photos, badges from Hanford and Denver Ordinance Plant, a
DuPont company. I've used these artifacts for several displays on Hanford
History and its 75th anniversary. This is probably the best collection of
Hanford Fire Department badges and memorabilia. Last year while cruising
thru EBAY I ran across a matchbook from the cafeteria from that plant.
Given the size of the ordinance works I would say it was one of a few
required to feed the workers. The cafeteria was run by Bennett Brothers
Restaurants of Denver. In Randy's dad's collection were two badges from
the plants fire department. The first time I saw the badges with the
letters D O P I wondered what they meant, now I know. It never ceases to
amaze me what I run across to make a connection with Hanford workers and
their beginnings. Attached are photos of the matchbook and Denver plant
fireman badges and an aerial view of the plant.
