Re: Turkey Day!

I for a majority of one dislike Turkey. The only turkey I ever ate that
was palatable was a wild turkey shot by my oldest son when he was 11. Other
than that I have insisted on Prime Rib for our family holiday meal. So any
talk about stuffing, I usually in my mild and discreet manor tell them that
is exactly what they can do with it.

Have any of you suffered thru having your locaL BANK BOUGHT BY A big EAST
COAST BANK? I have banked with a local California bank for some 30 years.
Nice people, easy to get things done there with little red tape. Last April
My local bank was bought by US Bank. Now due to my infermeries I do most
banking by internet. So the first thing US bank did was to block entrance to
my online account. Then they told me I had to open a new account. thru them.
They did not care for my password and so issued me a temporary password
which of course did not function. so all the way thru August, not being able
to get online with my account. I got fed up and moved to another local bank
just across the street. I settled in ready to develop along term
relationship with my new bank. On the 15th of Sept They were bought out by a
Big bank. Bank of Montreal, It is no different than US bank. full of
obfuscations and sad tales of we will fix it! and other lies. Now I have of
this day moved to a Local Credit union. Where before I had finished signing
papers, they had me set up for online banking with password and a small
stack of free checks. So I can say the difference between big banks and
locals, is like the differences between chicken sh*t and chicken Salad.

went up the hill, each with a buck and quarter! Jill came down with
2 and a half, they didn't go for water!

I must admit I am so sorry to see Club 40 fade away into the etheric.
this is one of times I wish I were closer to Washington so I could have
participated. I do envy those who did!

May whatever GOD you believe in give you grace all the days of your life.

For 11/23:
On this date two of my fellow classmates decided to "tie the knot". So
far, they're still tied. "Happy Anniversary!" to Jeanette DUNCAN and Jim
MEFFORD (both '54). Some day they may get it right.

Oh, yes; trust one and all have had a good Thanksgiving, sufficient
football and a properly cooked meal.

For 11/19:
Sort of a double whammy today, an anniversary and a birthday. First
off, a "Happy Birthday!" to fellow classmate Bruce Schoenrock ('54). Then a
"Happy Anniversary!" to Treasure ELDER ('54) and Gene BARFUSS ('53). Hope
this finds all of you in reasonable heath.

For 11/11:
A big thank you to the veterans who helped preserve this troubled
nation. And a big "Happy Birthday!" to Bev COATES ('52), Jack Sinderson
('53) and Bob JOHNSON ('54) for just being here.

For 11/8:
Where do the time go? Creeping up on ?Turkey Day?, that's where. On
top of all that, it is Dona McCLEARY's ('54) 39th birthday. ?Happy
Birthday!

For 11/7:
So, it's election day, whatever. It is also Marilyn ?Em? Devine's
('520 natal day. Let's all give her a ?Happy Birthday!? in some form or
other.

For 11/2:
Gollee! (as the world's greatest Marine was wont to say), the 2th of
November is here and that means I would say ?Happy Birthday!? to Norma
LOESCHER ('53). Hope this day finds you in reasonable health (upright and
moving count).

For 1/11:
Gonnies! Is it that time again? Gotta wish Jim ?Tank? MEFFORD ('54) a
?Happy Birthday!? If I didn't, Jeanette may never speak to me again, which
would be a bad thing.

For 10/30:
Taking a moment of time to wish Karen COLE ('55) a ?Happy Birthday!?

Re: Rex DAVIS ('49-RIP)

It seems I can't post anything to the Alumni Sandstorm as none of my notes
to it have gone through for the past 6 months or so. Did I do something
wrong to get banned? Thank you,

[Betti, You didn't get banned... No idea what the problem is. -Maren]

Re: First album released -- at the age of 64

When you finally get around to recording your first album at the age of 64,
folks, it's a bit hard to not tell the world about it. But I did just that,
releasing it this past Oct. 2. It's called Time Will Tell (kind of
appropriate, I thought!) and of course it's available in CD form for $15 but
if you're a Spotify, iTunes, Amazon or Pandora subscriber, you can
preview/hear it for free (I think!) with your subscription. 14 all-original
songs spanning thirty years of writing; I played and sang everything on it
except for drums. Maybe a little Tom Petty-ish, a little John Mayerish,
maybe a little... well you can decide that. More info about the project on
my website at seanlewismusic.com . Oh, and Go, Bombers!

Re: DAYS PAY Video

To: All Bombers

The city of Richland has produced a great video on DAY'S PAY, which is quiet
good. Most of the children of the crew have seen it, and reported crying
while watching it. I think you might too.
