Janice passed peacefully February 25, 2015, surrounded by family. She was born in Walla Walla to Loren and Ruby Taylor on October 20, 1932. They moved to Richland in 1946 where she graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1950.

Janice married David H. Underwood in 1950 and settled in West Richland where they raised a family of 6 children.

Janice was a busy homemaker, she loved gardening, sewing, cooking and providing for her family. After the children were all school age she attended night school at CBC and became a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse at Kadlec Hospital, mental health and nursing facilities in the Tri-Cities until retirement in 1980.

Janice and Dave were active in Ye Olde Car Club and classic car events for many years. She also enjoyed years of traveling with Dave to visit children, grandchildren, and friends throughout the US and vacationing in Mexico.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and brother Thomas Taylor in 1993.

She is survived by husband Dave; sister Susan McDonald (Steve); her children: Tena Rauch (Larry), David Underwood (Cyndy), Karen Collette (Leander), Mary Mead (Mike), Cheryl Skinner, and Peggy Morgan. She was very proud of her 17 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Guardian Angel homes for the care she received.

The family requests no flowers, a private family service is planned.
