BOMBER MEMORIAL

RAMONA DEE "MONA" RICKETTS DICKERSON ~ Class of 1951
1934 - August 17, 2005

Ramona Ricketts - 1951

Ramona D. Dickerson, age 71 of Kennewick passed away on August 17, 2005 at Sacred Heart Medical Center
in Spokane, WA. She left the world with the dignity, tenderness and courage she exhibited throughout
her lifetime.

Mona was born in Fontana, Kansas and moved with her family to the Tri-Cities area in 1947. She was
always a hard worker and was employed in a number of positions from her beginnings at Hanford to her
final position in the jewelry department of Sears.

Mona was a determined, strong and loving woman. She never knew a stranger and cared deeply for her
family and friends. She had three daughters and seven granddaughters whom she loved deeply. She was
always giving of herself to her family and friends and always wished that she could do more.

Mona was fortunate to have loved twice in her life. She was married to David Dickerson in November of
1954. He preceded her in death in 1992. She continued the operation of the B-OK in Kennewick after his
passing. She later met her companion of twelve years Dan Garrison, whom she loved and shared her life
with once again.

Mona taught her family to be proud, to have strength in even the hardest of times, to love and show
kindness. Her family is forever grateful for the lessons they learned. Her passing leaves a great void
in our lives but it will be filled by the love she had for us.

Mona was preceded in death by her husband David J. Dickerson, parents William and Dorothy Ricketts and
granddaughter Brittany McIntyre. Her spirit is carried on by daughters and son-in-laws; Cheryl
Dickerson, Lisa and Bruce Pielstick, Kim and Mark McIntyre, her beautiful granddaughters Tara, Shelby,
Ashley, Amanda, Alyssa, Brooklyn and Meghan, sister and brother-in-law Richard and Wanda Steele ('55) and
their family and companion Dan Garrison.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation in Mona's name be made to the charity of your
choice. A private memorial service will be held to celebrate her life by the family.
