David Wayne Staples, former Tri-City resident, passed away April 6, 2013, after a long, courageous cancer battle with his mother at his side. David, who made his home in Green Valley, AZ for the past few years, was born February 26, 1964, in Sunnyside and lived in the Tri-Cities from birth until he moved away to attend college.

David's father, Fred R. Staples, predeceased him as did his grandparents, an uncle, Frank B. Staples, and a cousin, Mark Staples ('82) .

He is survived by his mother, Georgia Staples, his daughter Alexandra Staples, brother Rex Staples, uncle Jack Staples, cousins: Michael Staples, Kelly Staples ('83), Kimberly Kavanagh, Russell Staples, Lisa Bateman, Teresa Heilman, Leslie Boyle and stepmother Kay Staples.

Private inurnment will take place at Desert Lawn Cemetery. A memorial gathering when the headstone is placed is planned for a later date at Desert Lawn Cemetery, 1401 S.
