BOMBER MEMORIAL
JAMES EDWARD ALDER ~ Class of 1983
September 6, 1964 - December 27, 2015
~
James was born September 6, 1964, at Kadlec Hospital to Ed and Judy Harris Alder and passed away on December 27, 2015.
He grew up in Richland and called Washington State home for most of his life. In his adolescence, he loved trying to fix his friends' bikes -- he was great at disassembly but usually his stepdad, Jerry Maness, had to finish what he had started.
He was accomplished at sandblasting, construction and creating personalized pieces of art for his loved ones. James had many admirable traits, one of them being enduring friendships that lasted a lifetime. Even when his health began to wane he still helped friends and family by fixing cars and anything else that they needed. He was loved and cherished by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward James Alder; stepfather, Jerry Maness ('60); uncle, Mike Harris ('64); and aunt, Carolyn Harris ('56).
He is survived by his wife, Shannon; his children: Brycen, April, Jamie (Ryan), Chelsea, Brandt, and Paige; his grandchildren: Amiya, Sawyer, Kainon, Tavyn, Brayton, and Brinley; his sister, Michele Alder Larson ('80) (Robert); mother, Judy Harris; and many much loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
